Barcelona, 12 de diciembre, 2025 – VGP, a pan-European owner, manager, and developer of high-quality logistics and semi-industrial real estate, has inaugurated its new offices in the Torre Barcelona at Diagonal 477.
Coinciding with VGP’s 10th anniversary in Spain, the company has moved its operations to the 4th floor of the iconic building, into a new 750-square-meter space, doubling the area previously occupied at Còrsega 301. VGP’s new offices in Spain offer a modern and versatile working environment, designed to foster collaboration and employee well-being.
10th Anniversary of VGP in Spain
Founded in 1998 by a Belgian family, VGP has a workforce of 412 employees and operates in 18 European countries directly and through several 50:50 joint ventures. Having an integrated business model from land acquisition and design to construction and property management, the company aims to develop and manage sustainable and energy-efficient business parks at prime locations across Europe.
In Spain, VGP and its joint ventures have a portfolio of more than 1.69 million square meters of logistics and industrial land with a gross lettable space, including the pipeline, of over 900,000 square meters. The portfolio is spread across 16 parks with a current number of 24 assets, 3 of them under construction, located in Alicante, Barcelona, Belartza, Bilbao, Burgos, Córdoba, Madrid, Pamplona, Seville, Valencia, and Zaragoza.
Among the 16 parks VGP has in Spain, VGP Park San Fernando de Henares – with 119,171 square meters of leased space on a plot of 222,712 – and VGP Park Lliçà d’Amunt – with 75,208 square meters of space on a plot of 149,597 – stand out as the first parks built, with the largest area and enjoying 100% occupancy since the start of construction in 2018.
Other notable developments include VGP Park La Naval, an old shipyard in Bilbao, for which the Special Urban Planning Plan has recently been approved – allowing construction works to begin during 2026 –, and VGP Park Pamplona Noáin, where MOBIS Spain established a battery assembly plant in the second half of this year.
In 2026, VGP plans to complete the development of 50,000 square meters in VGP Park Alicante and VGP Park Burgos and to begin construction of another 130,000 square meters in VGP Park Fuenlabrada, VGP Park Sevilla Ciudad de la Imagen, and VGP Park La Naval.
Additionally, VGP is actively exploring new opportunities in cities such as Valencia and Málaga, as well as other strategic areas in the country, and plans to expand its land portfolio with the acquisition of new sites.
On the other hand, VGP’s renewable energy business is consolidating, and the company has been increasing gross revenues year after year thanks to this activity. Currently, VGP Renewables’ Spanish subsidiary is developing a 600 kWp photovoltaic plant in VGP Park Dos Hermanas and has commissioned another of the same capacity in VGP Park Pamplona Noáin, with plans to continue expanding photovoltaic projects in VGP Park Zaragoza, VGP Park San Fernando de Henares, and VGP Park Martorell.
According to Jan van Geet, CEO of VGP: “Over the past ten years, Spain has become one of the most dynamic markets in Europe. The country’s economic development, coupled with the dynamic labour market, has positioned Spain among the most active and highest-potential markets in all the European countries where VGP operates, consolidating it as a benchmark.”
All of VGP’s new assets aim to obtain the BREEAM Excellent certification, the sustainable construction certificate, and to comply with the EU TAXONOMY, a classification system that defines environmentally sustainable economic activities to achieve the objectives of the European Green Deal.
