It's easily accessible by public transport and the neighbourhood of Ziepniekkalns gives access to the labour pool with great accessibility to the distribution centre. The total building area reaches almost 30,000 m2. The office is designed on three floors with a spacious rooftop terrace and complemented by a stylish, loft-style ground floor with high ceilings.
The warehouse includes a dry warehouse, chilled area, temperature-controlled warehouse, mezzanine and freezer. The building height is 11 meters, with a wall thickness of 120 mm (for the standard warehouse). The building has several temperature controlled areas, including +2 + 6 C chilled area, temperature controlled warehouse with + 18 C and the Freezer with – 26 C.
The cooling system is built with a heat recovery system. The building developed and constructed by VGP is an excellent example of sustainable development. It is also the first building in the Baltics to combine geothermal heating solutions, air heaters and solar panels to grant its tenants pure energy independence.
This solution perfectly complements VGP’s target to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2025 for its own operations and 55% reduction of “in use” scope 3 emissions by 2030. The VGP developed building will be occupied by EUGESTA - one of the leading logistics and distribution companies in the Baltics.
