VGP Italy Opens VGP Park Legnano, a New Logistics Hub on the Outskirts of Milan
- The new logistics hub in the northern area of Milan becomes fully operational with Melchioni Car System and Gymbeam
- A highly energy-efficient brownfield regeneration project, certified BREEAM Outstanding
Legnano, 11 February 2026 – VGP NV (“VGP” or “the Group”), a European owner, manager and developer of high-quality logistics and semi-industrial properties, has completed, on schedule, the construction of the VGP Park Legnano property, which thus becomes a new logistics hub in the northern area of Milan.
The park’s inauguration ceremony was held today in the presence of spokespersons from VGP Italy, Melchioni Car System and Gymbeam.
VGP Park Legnano
The new hub, built on a 50,000 m² site, offers the two companies over 22,000 m² of modern and flexible space for their logistics needs.
The park is located in Via Juker, on the site once occupied by the former Cantoni cotton mill, a historic industrial facility dating back to the late 19th century. The project has enhanced the memory of the place by preserving some of its original features, including the old entrance gatehouse and several of the historic trees.
The Group, which has always been committed to sustainability and responsible regeneration of the territory, is committed to the enhancement of brownfield sites. In the case of VGP Park Legnano, VGP supervised the entire process of remediation and recovery of the site, transforming a disused industrial area into a modern, efficient complex that is perfectly integrated into the urban context.
The location is strategic: it is just 500 metres from the A8 motorway exit, the artery connecting Varese to Milan – located just 15 km away – and interconnecting with the A4 motorway, the main road network in northern Italy.
VGP Park Legnano stands out for its large green areas, which cover over 8,000 m². The emphasis on greenery also characterises the frontage on Via Juker, where a green façade has been created to help integrate the complex harmoniously into the urban context.
The property has also obtained the highest BREEAM certification, Outstanding level, thanks to its excellent energy and sustainability standards, including a 1 MWp photovoltaic system that contributes significantly to the self-production of renewable energy. It is the first building in Italy, in all categories of use, to receive this recognition.
“The completion of VGP Park Legnano marks the recovery and redevelopment of a portion of the city’s territory, which is once again becoming a workplace after many years of disuse as an industrial site,” comments Lorenzo Radice, mayor of the Municipality of Legnano. Thanks to its strategic location, close to the motorway junction, and its multifunctionality, VGP Park Legnano meets the increasingly complex logistical needs of our productive fabric, a fundamental factor for the competitiveness of businesses and, therefore, of our territory.”

The warehouse is equipped with an automatic storage system capable of handling up to 12,000 orders per day, ensuring maximum efficiency in their management and dispatch.
