Parma, 30 September 2025 – VGP NV (“VGP” or “the Group”), a European owner, manager and developer of high-quality logistics and semi-industrial properties, has inaugurated the construction site for the development of the new building at VGP Park Parma Morse.
The facility will host Global Trading, the first tenant of the park and a leading company in the import-export of multi-ethnic food products.
With this project, the Group further strengthens its presence in Emilia-Romagna, where it already has five active business parks and one under development, totaling 507,304 m². Of these, as many as 174,796 m² are concentrated in the three hubs located in the Parma area, thereby consolidating the central role of the region in the Group’s growth strategy in Italy. The developments carried out have also contributed to the creation of a potential workforce of over 700 employees, as declared by the tenants established in the parks, with a positive impact recognized by the local community.
This morning’s ceremony was attended by local institutions – Chiara Vernizzi, Councillor for Urban Regeneration of the Municipality of Parma, VGP Italy representatives – Valentina Slavazzi, Country Manager – Commercial, and Massimo Vicenzino, Country Manager – Operations – as well as Paolo Tran, owner of Global Trading.
VGP Park Parma Morse
VGP Park Parma Morse is located about 5 km from the center of Parma and about 3 km from the A1 motorway exit, which connects Milan, Reggio Emilia and Bologna.
The location proves strategic for the development of logistics and industrial projects, thanks to its position within a area characterized by high population density and one of the most developed industrial fabrics in the region.
The park, which will extend over a total surface of about 56,000 m², will be built according to high international quality standards, with a minimum BREEAM EXCELLENT certification, and will offer advanced and customized solutions designed to meet the needs of tenants, with particular attention to the protection and enhancement of the surrounding area.
Within a year, the Group will also double the surface of the business park by building a second facility in addition to the one under construction, further strengthening the offer of high-quality spaces. The project integrates storage areas, loading bays, office spaces with a highly flexible layout, and ample parking areas, while at the same time ensuring energy-efficient solutions.
The works are expected to be completed by mid-2026.
Global Trading
Global Trading, founded in Parma in 1992 as an ethnic food store, is today an established national and international player in the import-export of multi-ethnic food products and Afro-American cosmetic products. With the brand “HELLO! Food Store,” the company manages several retail outlets in Parma, Modena and Piacenza, in addition to a consolidated import-export network.
“We are very pleased to start this new collaboration,” said Paolo Tran, owner of Global Trading.
“The decision to rely on VGP stems from the need for a more modern and efficient structure, capable of supporting increasingly complex logistics and storage processes, ensuring fast and timely deliveries throughout Italy – crucial aspects to maintain our leadership position in the import-export market of multi-ethnic food products. We are confident that the quality and strategic location of this park will represent an added value for our business and for the entire local community.”
The Group’s continuously growing network
The Group, which announced its financial results in August, recorded a profit before taxes of €208.6 million, up 35% compared to the first half of 2024. This was driven by a 24.3% increase in net rental and renewable energy income, as well as significant valuation gains on the property portfolio.
In detail, in the first half of 2025, VGP acquired 633,000 m² of land for development, with strategic expansions in the Italian market, confirming the growth of its portfolio and development potential in the country.
Since its entry into Italy in 2018, with headquarters in Segrate (MI), VGP has built a network of ten business parks, with over 550,000 m² of owned land and about 206,000 m² of leased properties.
In Emilia-Romagna, the Group is present with five business parks: two in the province of Bologna (VGP Park Valsamoggia and VGP Park Valsamoggia 2) and three in Parma (VGP Park Parma Lumière, VGP Park Parma Paradigna and VGP Park Parma Morse).
Lombardy includes VGP Park Calcio (Bergamo), VGP Park Sordio (Lodi), VGP Park Paderno Dugnano (under construction) and VGP Park Legnano (north Milan). In Veneto, the Group is present with VGP Park Padua.
