Prague, 10th December 2020: VGP handed over to SSI Technologies a build-to-suit warehouse and production facilities that have been built according to the company’s needs and to expand their existing plant in VGP Park Ústí nad Labem, municipality of Přestanov.
SSI Technologies had an existing lease agreement for a 6,080 m2 manufacturing hall, which has now been extended by an additional 4,800 m2.
SSI Technologies, part of the Amphenol Corporation, one of the largest manufacturers of interconnect products in the world, is a high-tech manufacturing company focusing on production of high-quality ultrasonic sensors for the automotive industry and selling its products worldwide. The company uses the latest high-tech manufacturing technologies into which it has already invested nearly CZK 600 million. These advanced production technologies provide the basis for the high quality of its final products.
The Czech–American corporate environment and complex production processes ensure the Přestanov plant’s strong attractiveness within the region. Since start-up, SSI Technologies has been among the most popular employers in the region of Ústí nad Labem. The plant currently employs about 350 people. With the expansion of production facilities, another 150–200 people will find their jobs there, mainly in manufacturing positions, in quality, engineering, and in other qualified professions.
