Segrate, Milan, November 4, 2020 – VGP, a European provider of high-quality logistics properties, launches the development of its VGP Park Padova.

Having published the inauguration of the VGP Park Sordio in the Lodi area a few months ago, the company announces the acquisition of a new land plot within the industrial area of Padua Interporto, northern Italy, with the perspective of developing the VGP Park Padova.

As well as the other VGP logistics parks, VGP Park Padova will profit from a strategic location with very good accessibility to the Padua eastern ring road, the A13 motorway leading from Padua to Bologna, and also to the Adriatic route. This dynamic area provides extensive labour availability.

The new VGP Park Padova will cover a brownfield of approximately 50,000 m2. VGP foresees to first reconvert the plot and subsequently develop a park with a maximum lettable area of 31,530 m2 of warehouse facilities with ancillary offices, and ample parking facilities. Most of the surface is already pre-let to two bluechip customers.

Consistent with VGP’s quality, sustainability, and energy efficiency objectives, the new logistics center will comply with high sustainability standards (including BREEAM Very Good certification) and will provide renewable energy thanks to roof-fixed solar panels.

The new development supports the continuous growth of VGP, adding a second logistics/semi-industrial center in the Veneto region, besides the VGP Park Verona. The latter should see the start of construction in 2021.
