European packaging manufacturer moves into multifunctional space in VGP Park Koblenz

Duesseldorf, 03. May 2023 – VGP NV (“VGP” or “the Company”), a European owner, operator and developer of high-quality logistics and commercial real estate, announces that it has secured a leading supplier of sustainable, infinitely recyclable metal and glass packaging as a new anchor tenant for VGP Park Koblenz. The manufacturer will occupy around 28,000 m² of commercial space. The company is scheduled to move in during the first quarter of next year.

VGP Park Koblenz is located close to main traffic routes such as the A 61 motorway, which connects the German states of Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia with the Netherlands and, at the Kerpen junction, connects to the federal motorway 4 (BAB 4), which provides important access to Belgium and northern France. In addition, the location is less than 20 minutes by car from the city of Koblenz. Due to its strategically favourable location at the “Deutsches Eck”, Koblenz is suitable as a West European hub for commercial transport and freight traffic.

In addition to its high building standards and ready-to-use solutions, the approximately 45,500 m² energy-efficient logistics park offers a complete technical infrastructure directly on the site. Furthermore, the installation of a photovoltaic system is planned, which will cover a large part of the tenants’ energy consumption. Upon completion, the park will be certified according to DGNB Standard Gold.

In addition to an extensive storage area, the client will also rent an office, social and technical space, a coil warehouse and parking spaces. The commercial space will be used in particular for the intermediate storage and further processing of aluminium and steel beverage cans.
