The future VGP park is located in a cross -border zone with close proximity to Germany (50 km from Freiburg), Switzerland (15 minutes from Basel), and the EuroAirport Basel–Mulhouse–Freiburg. The Mulhouse conurbation has excellent public transport infrastructure and a rich, high-quality employment base. It has a population of about 275,000.
