Düsseldorf/Hannover 26.10.2020 – The VGP Group, a European provider of high-quality logistics and commercial real estate, is developing a new hall in the VGP Park Laatzen for the e-commerce company Connox GmbH from Hanover.
The VGP Park Laatzen, which was first presented to the public in June 2019, is located on a site of approximately 28 hectares and will offer 112,000 m2 of rentable space for commercial, production and logistics companies. Only 20 minutes by car from downtown Hanover, the park is located in a region that is economically important for agriculture, industry and trade.
In addition to tailor-made solutions for large companies, the park also offers small units of 2,500m2 or more for rent, and can thus provide a wide range of workplaces in production, logistics and administration.
In early September 2020, KraussMaffei, one of the tenants of the VGP Park, officially laid the foundation stone for the construction of its new extrusion systems plant in the presence of Prime Minister Stephan Weil.
With Connox GmbH, VGP has gained a tenant that today - 15 years after its foundation - is one of the leading online stores for home design. In the last quarter alone, sales rose by around 76% year-on-year, not least because online retailing is becoming increasingly important in home design as well. "The rapid growth of the past few years confronts us with the challenge of ensuring sufficient storage space for the appropriate availability of our product range. We are very happy to have found such an experienced partner as VGP to jointly lay another important foundation stone for the realization of our expansion plans. With the VGP-Park Laatzen we have also found a storage location that not only enables us to use state-of-the-art warehouse processes, but also to secure and expand jobs at the Hanover location," Connox Managing Director Thilo Haas explains his decision to choose the VGP-Park Laatzen as the new warehouse location
