VGP launches construction works of new business park in Brasov
- VGP Park Brasov will offer up to 180,000 m2 GLA at top location
- First long-term lease with FILDAS has been concluded for GLA of 4,000 m2
- First building with total GLA of 9,400 m2 to be delivered mid 2021
- All buildings will be certified BREEAM Very Good
Bucharest, Romania, 19 November 2020 – VGP, a pan-European provider of high-quality logistics and semi-industrial real estate, announces the start of development of its new multi-tenant business park in Brasov, in the central part of Romania.
With the ground works started beginning of November, the first building with a surface of 9,400 m2 is planned to be delivered mid 2021 and will be partly occupied by Fildas Trading Srl., the pharmaceutical company.
VGP Park Brasov is being developed on a land plot of approx. 390,000 m2 and will have a total potential of about 180,000 m2 lettable area.
The park is located within the Brasov ring road with direct access to the park from the E68 motorway towards Sibiu and in very close proximity to the connection with the future A3 highway Bucharest-Brasov-Sibiu. The site also benefits from direct access to the city public bus transport network. Such excellent road access and public infrastructure makes the park ideally suited for locating regional as well as international distribution hubs.
Furthermore, the new modern airport of Brasov located nearby being in its final stages of construction will offer connections to major cities across Europe.
Brasov city is one of the most important industrial and technical university centres in Romania, and the entire metropolitan area is home to more than 250,000 inhabitants which offers a substantial pool of highly qualified and skilled employees.
Fildas Trading Srl will be the first tenant in VGP Park Brasov and will move into a full temperature controlled warehouse with adjacent offices with a total area of approx. 4,000 m2. The company’s affiliated pharmacy network Catena is one of the market leaders.
