Senior Accountant, Belgrade, Serbia
Reporting to: Financial Manager/HQ Finance team
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Accounting (A-Z):
Responsible for all aspects of accounting, including general ledger, journal entries, AP/AR, accruals, and monthly closings in accordance with local GAAP and Group reporting standards.
Financial Reporting:
Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
ERP System Implementation:
Participate in the implementation of NetSuite ERP within the Serbian entity, including system configuration, testing, training, and process alignment with group standards.
Compliance & Audits:
Ensure timely compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory obligations in Serbia. Liaise with auditors and tax consultants as required.
Real Estate Transactions Support:
Accounting for real estate acquisitions, sales, leasing operations, and development projects in alignment with group procedures.
Intercompany & Consolidation:
Handle intercompany transactions and support the consolidation process at group level.
Coordination with Group Finance:
Work closely with the Financial Manager and with HQ Finance team to align on financial reporting, internal controls, and strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in real estate or construction.
• In-depth knowledge of Serbian accounting and tax regulations; familiarity with IFRS is a strong plus.
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is highly desirable.
• Proven experience or readiness to contribute to ERP implementation projects.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel in particular).
