VGP Handed Over ASMPT’s Warehouse in Győr, Hungary

Győr, 08.05.2024 - ASMPT's new premises have been completed in VGP Park Győr Béta, where the international semiconductor and electronics products manufacturer will carry out assembly and logistics activities. VGP, the European provider of logistics and semi-industrial real estate has handed over more than 11,200 m² of warehouse space and 2,200 m² of office space to the Singapore-based company. The prime environmentally friendly building is located close to the Audi factory in the industrial zone of Győr.

VGP Park Győr Béta is located close to the M1 motorway connecting Vienna to Budapest in the wider industrial area east of the city which also includes the Audi Hungary Terminal. The park offers an excellent infrastructure and easy access to urban public transport, with currently 70,000 m² of leased real estate, but a further 35,000 m² of space still to be developed.

ASMPT's well-insulated building with heat pump systems are awaiting the BREEAM Very Good certification under the BREEAM International New Construction method. The premises include high quality offices and special rooms for production, while the buildings' lighting was adapted to ASMPT's production activities.

Last November, VGP handed over the new Apollo Tyres distribution centre in VGP Park Győr Béta, which includes a 24,000 m² warehouse and 600 m² of office space. The international tyre manufacturer is located close to Audi and will serve as a European distribution centre.

In addition to state-of-the-art technology, sustainability and energy efficiency are central parameters for the commercial properties developed by VGP. VGP targets a BREEAM environmental certification for all of its new construction projects. With the separate business unit, VGP Renewable Energy, VGP wants to facilitate the green energy transition of its clients and support them on efficient energy management. The green power generation capacity of the VGP Renewable Energy division, including PV plants under construction, has been increased to 270.5 MWp once all PV pipeline projects are completed. The VGP Foundation, established in 2019, has already identified 41 support projects that address social issues, nature conservation and the protection of European cultural heritage.
