At VGP, IT is not a back-office function — it’s a business enabler. As a Hands-On IT Officer, you’ll sit at the intersection of technology, people, and operations. You’ll keep our IT environment running smoothly while actively improving it, making a real impact on how colleagues work every day.
This role is ideal for an IT professional with a few years of experience who enjoys doing, not just coordinating — and who’s ready to take ownership of a modern Microsoft-based IT landscape.

You already have a solid IT foundation and enjoy applying it hands-on:

• Strong experience with Microsoft Entra and modern workplace tools
• Good knowledge of:
  • Windows environments
  • Networking fundamentals (LAN, VPN, Wi-Fi)
  • Identity and access management
• Comfortable troubleshooting both technical issues and user problems
• Basic scripting or automation skills (PowerShell) are a strong plus
• Security awareness and a structured way of working

You’ll combine operational excellence with continuous improvement:

• Be the first point of contact for IT support across the organization
• Manage and maintain:
  • End-user devices (laptops, mobiles, peripherals)
  • Microsoft environment (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID)
  • User accounts, permissions, and security groups
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of devices & employees
  • Monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents and ensure smooth daily operations
  • Work with external IT partners and vendors when needed
  • Lead and contribute to IT projects (security improvements, tooling upgrades, automation, documentation)
  • Proactively suggest improvements to increase stability, security and user experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a  system administrator or similar role
• Hands-on, pragmatic and solution-oriented
• Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues
• Takes ownership and follows issues through to resolution
• Curious mindset — you want to learn, improve, and modernize
• Fluent in Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus
