Rodgau 012016 003 smallProviding space to nine different tenants, VGP Park Rodgau will be fully leased out by July 2016. Once Asendia, Eltete, Geis and A&O move in, the site’s five industrial and production halls, which have a total area of 102,000 m², will be completely occupied. The companies will become new neighbours of the existing tenants Rossmann, PTG, Ebara, Rhenus Pharma and Rhenus Kontraktlogistik.

It is expected that by the end of 2016 approximately 900 people will be employed in the park. The park's connection to the B45 highway provides tenants with a strategic advantage. VGP’s construction of the logistics property was the largest development project seen in the Rodgau region within the last 10 years.

VGP Park Hamburg warehouse smallThe project developer VGP, which operates across Europe, is investing more than 20 million euro in the city of Soltau in the German state of Lower Saxony to build a new logistics centre for Volkswagen's subsidiary Audi.  The entire building project, including the official handover of the site to the tenant, is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016. The 12-hectare site is located within the Soltau-Ost III industrial park Soltau-Ost III, in direct proximity to the A7 highway.

Expansion works should start in March 2016. The planned facility will comprise a 45,000 m² industrial hall and 1,700 m² of office space, which will give Audi room for a logistics centre specialising in the export of vehicle components and assemblies. Exports will be directed mainly to China, India, Brazil and Mexico. The new complex will bring approximately 300 - 400 jobs to the region. Volkswagen had previously chosen to work with VGP in 2014. The company is a tenant of VGP Park Hamburg and leases an area of approximately 5,000 m² which is used as warehouse and office space. In Hamburg, Volkswagen works with vehicle parts delivered from Asia.

P6 small webAt the end of November 2015, VGP finished works on a new production hall in Přestanov near Ústí nad Labem in the Czech Republic and handed it over to its client SSI Technologies. This US manufacturing company, which has its headquarters in Janesville, Wisconsin, was established in 1982 and produces solutions for the automotive and engineering industries. The company will use 5,330 m² of space, of which 3,515 m² will be used as production space and 1,820 m² as office space. Totally, SSI Technologies will employ 250 people at the site, its first outside the USA.

Budova C smallVGP also completed an additional logistics hall within VGP Park Pilsen and welcomed to it another new tenant, Faiveley Transport. The hall being leased to the company producing components for railway vehicles comprises more than 20,000 m² of production and warehouse space, plus almost 2,000 m² of office space. Faiveley Transport had commissioned the hall in order to transfer production from Blovice to Pilsen and now benefits from having its new production in a single, strategically situated location. VGP Park Pilsen in Bručna is connected to the E49 and is very close to the D5 motorway. It offers more than 45,000 m² of semi-industrial space. The park is already home to ASSA ABLOY, Excell Czech, Maurice Ward, and COPO TÉXTIL PORTUGAL.

Both investments were promoted by CzechInvest, the Czech Republic‘s agency for business development.

Following its strong expansion growth in Central and Eastern Europe, VGP is now expanding to Southern Europe. It recently opened a new business office in Barcelona. Responsible for the Spanish market is Joan Lacosta Morell, who brings extensive project experience in project business for industrial properties industrial property business to the role. VGP’s first logistics park in the Iberian Peninsula will have five industrial halls buildings and will comprise a total area of 222,665.00 m2, including 136,000.00 m2 of rentable area. It will be constructed in San Fernando de Henares and will therefore be located only 8 km away from Madrid’s airport, with the M50 and A2 Motorways providing easy access to it.

Joan Lacosta Morell, General Manager of VGP Spain states: “VGP sees great potential in the Spanish market. Companies in Spain are also looking for new space for growth. We want to provide such space and tie it up with our success within other markets where we are active.”

In August 2015, the VGP Group and the Starland Holding agreed on the acquisition of development land in the area of Triblavina, one of the greatest development projects in Central Europe. Being located within the municipality area of Bernolákovo and covering a 250,000 m² of total lettable area, the new VGP Park will offer space to logistics as well as production firms.

The construction process is planned in two steps and will begin in 2016. Highest priority has the completion of the connection between D1, Slovakia’s busiest motorway, and Triblavina. Hereafter construction of the first logistics and production halls will begin.

“With its size and unique location near the capital, we believe VGP Park Bratislava will be one of the greatest projects in our portfolio,” relates Jan Van Geet, CEO of VGP Group.

The cooperation between VGP and Starland Holding is expected to improve the regional infrastructure and bring new employment and business opportunities as well as an expansion of commerce, sport, entertainment, leisure activities and dynamic growth to the region.
